Nectar AI allows you to create a custom roleplay scenario without needing a Ph.D. in prompt engineering. This is special because it’s an AI girlfriend app that focuses on roleplay.
This is a feature most AI girlfriend apps neglect and you’ll have to switch to a dedicated AI chatbot like Character AI, SpicyChat, or Crushon.
Only problem?
You get super hyped from the idea of creating your personal roleplay scenario just to get confronted with a screen that looks like this:
Not exactly beginner-friendly if you ask me.

If you like designing your own AI characters / AI girlfriend you are going to LOVE Nectar AI. It allows you to create gorgeous AI characters by simply pressing a few buttons.
It even has an image generator that allows you to recreate famous AI characters like Elza from Frozen.

On the flip side, I do think some people are better off trying a different AI tool
Die-Hard Otaku’s
If you breathe anime then I wouldn’t recommend Nectar AI. Although it allows you to create your anime characters, the app primarily focuses on realistic girlfriends.
In fact, it only has one anime character to roleplay with.
If anime is all you care about then you are better off trying an AI tool like FantasyGF AI or Yodayo AI. It is specifically built for anime so it only makes sense to outperform Nectar AI on this aspect.

I’ve already given you a minor spoiler on how Nectar AI is specifically built for AI roleplay. So naturally, all its top features supplement this.
To put it short, we can boil it down to four things:

Realistic AI Girlfriends
Nectar AI has more than 12 realistic-looking AI girlfriends. It isn’t much, I know but in terms of diversity, I do think they hit the nail on the head.
They’ve added all kinds of nationalities and ethnicities - from Afro-American all the way to asian.
What I also like is how they added one, how do I say this? Fantasy-looking character. Do you know how some Twitch streamers wear cat ears and cosplay outfits?
Not something you see on other AI girlfriend apps.
I think it is safe to say that there should be at least one AI girlfriend for every person.
Another thing that really stood out to me was the way they presented the AI girlfriends. If you hover over the name, you’ll see a short bio.
Click on it and you get a detailed breakdown of what the AI Character is all about. 👇🏼
This feature's pretty cool, kind of like Tinder.
You know, when you spot a girl who looks interesting but isn't sure if you should swipe right?
Sooo you check her bio to get a feel for her.
It's a HUGE time-saver. Each AI girlfriend has her own personality, and some just won't click with you.
Reading the bio helps you figure out fast if you're likely to hit it off.
Take the girl in the bio I just mentioned, for example. She says,
"I'm a bit shy, so be patient with me."
Talking to her, expecting to snag a quick ticket to Pound-town within the first five minutes, you're probably going to be disappointed.
She's signaling that she's more about slow and steady, not the express lane.
Anime Girlfriends & Boyfriends
This is kind of a bummer but Nectar AI only has… wait for it… a whopping 1 anime girlfriend and AI boyfriend. 😂
Yup, that’s not much. Not to mention you can not ask for pictures or anything, since that feature has yet to be added.
I hope the developers will add more AI anime characters and AI boyfriends in the near future.

Image Quality
Let’s go back to the homepage and try the AI image generator:

Before I go heads first into the AI image generator I want to make one thing crystal clear:
I am an absolute NOOB when it comes to prompting images.
I mean it - whenever I get an image that doesn’t look like Smeagol from Lord of The Rings, I call it a win.
So keep that in mind when reading.
Where was I? Oh yeah, right - prompting AI girlfriend pictures! Nectar AI has made it very easy for us by either
- Using smooth menus
- Clearly explaining how to prompt.
Let’s give it a try:
Selecting a Model
First up, you gotta pick your model.
- Asian Model: This one's tweaked to give you super realistic-looking Asian girls.
- Hentai Model: The Hentai model allows you to create your dream waifu.
- Realistic Model: This model creates life-like poses and scenes that are incredibly detailed and visually striking.
I'm on the Ultimate plan, so I get the newest versions of those three models. It's a cool upgrade that adds some extra bells and whistles to the whole deal.
Let’s keep it simple and just opt for the Realistic model.
The next thing to do is fill in the Prompt box with what you're looking for. Here's an example:

As I mentioned before, I suck at prompting so I am going to keep it very simple:
“Blonde hair, blue eyes, hair in a bun, bikini, medium breasts, big booty, outside.”
You can get really specific! Feel free to add extra details to paint a clearer picture of the scene.
You can get more specific by using brackets (). To put it simply, the more brackets you use, the more attention the AI image generator will pay to whatever is in those brackets.
“Blonde hair, (((blue eyes))), hair in a bun, bikini, medium breasts, big booty, outside.”
In this example, the AI character would have got super bright blue eyes.
I recently did a post on how to use the Muah AI image generator, the same rules apply to Nectar AI so if you want to 10x your prompting skills I highly suggest you check it out.
Anyway, if you still think that this is too complicated (and I don’t blame you) then you are going to love what’s next.
Nectar AI has pre-defined prompts to spark your creativity. Simply hit the Generate New Ideas button and BAM. 👇🏼
I think this is a great feature for noobs like me - it makes prompting a breeze.
Candy.ai - a very similar AI girlfriend app also has this feature but it doesn’t have the Generate New Ideas button.
So in terms of user-friendliness, I have to give Nectar AI some credit.
ICKS (What You Dislike)
This section is pretty much straightforward - just type in whatever you don’t want to see in your picture.
A bag, hat, white t-shirt, 13-inch Cuban cigar - you know the usual stuff.
HD Generations & Dimensions
This is another feature that you unlock from the pro plan and above. I am glad I decided to purchase the Ultimate plan since the difference is like day and night. 👇🏼
I looked through one of Nectar AI's guides on image generation, and it mentioned that the 'high resolution' feature doubles the pixel count. 1
It also allows you to switch the dimensions of your images so you can put your AI girlfriend on your phone background more easily.
So, if you've read this far and are thinking about smashing that buy button, I'd recommend going for at least the pro plan to get that extra detail.
Customization
Customizing is the fun part – it's where you really bring your AI girlfriend to life.
You get to choose from four different categories:
- Faces: Decide which facial expression your AI girlfriend should have.
- Outfits: Choose her outfit.
- Poses: If you’re going for a sexual image, pick the position.
- Effects: Choose the artistic effect for the photo.
For instance, say you want to create something like Elsa from Frozen.
You’d pick Elsa in the “Faces” section, choose a dress under “Outfits,” and maybe select light rays for the photo effect.
This way, any photo you try to generate of Elsa will look more like her.
Here’s another example: if you pick the blowjob customization, the pose and scene become way more realistic than just typing “blowjob” in the prompt.
The Result
For customization, I am not going to select anything since my prompt doesn’t match any of the customization options. Here’s a recap of the prompt I am using:
“Blonde hair, blue eyes, hair in a bun, bikini, medium breasts, big booty, outside.”

Overall, I'm really happy with how the images turned out. They're high-quality and don't have any weird glitches, like an extra limb or something.
One thing to note is that the image generator isn’t mega quick.
It takes about 20 seconds to load one picture, and you can only do one at a time. This is a bit slower compared to others like DreamGF and Candy AI, where you can churn out a bunch of images in under a minute.
The AI sex rp is what I came here for, it looked really promising so my expectations are sky-high.

Customization
If you go to the Explore section there’s this big red button that says Create Girlfriend For FREE! I don’t need to explain to you what this button does, right?
You can customize your AI girlfriend to her:
After you’ve created you can either click on Start Chat and let the AI come up with a roleplay scenario or click on Create Fantasy to create your own Nectar AI roleplay fantasy.
Conversation
If you don’t want to go the extra mile and create your own fantasy - don’t sweat it. Nectar AI has made a couple of role play scenarios for us.

Privacy
Nectar AI has a short section in their FAQ where they clearly explain that they value user privacy.
It's assuring to know your spicy Saturday night conversations with your AI girlfriend will remain between you and the AI. However, it's important to know that Nectar AI does not offer end-to-end encryption like Muah AI. If you generate harmful content and Nectar aI is legally forced to access your chats/images they can do so.
Nectar AI also offers billing discretion. In other words, if you pay for Nectar AI it doesn't show "Nectar AI" or "AI girlfriend" on your bank statement.
After carefully recalculating, we decided to give Nectar AI 0.5 stars extra on the privacy star due to the fact that they clearly state to be against chat monitoring.

I think Nectar AI only offers an incredible value for the price. The cheapest paid plan is $20 which gives you a whopping 600 images. Compare this to Candy, Muah, or DreamGF AI and it is an absolute bargain.

Nectar AI is still in its infancy so there aren’t many customer reviews. However, there’s a lot of buzz in the Discord channel.2

In my opinion, technical issues are not that much of a big deal as long as you respond to them ASAP which Nectar AI does very well. 👇🏼
I did a bit of digging in the Discord Community, searching for words like "refund," "money back," and "scam," but I didn't come across any results.

Character Diversity
There are a couple of dozen AI characters to pick from, each with its own distinct personality and appearance.
In terms of diversity, Nectar AI a pretty good job. 👌🏻
I would like to see more AI waifu's (anime characters) in the near future though since Nectar AI only offers one.
Customization
Nectar AI uses open fields so users can generate their own AI girlfriend / pictures by typing in whatever they want to see. This often results in a less beginner-friendly AI girlfriend app. However, Nectar AI does a great job at balancing this with buttons and and tooltips (those interactive question marks you see besides this heading) that give clarification.
I also noticed that the customization options keep expanding regurarly. For example, they've just added three new ethnicities for you to pick from.
Conversation
The conversation is good. Very, very VERY good.
In fact, I don't think I've had a better AI role-play experience in my life so far. And that says something because I've been testing 40+ of these AI tools. The thing that makes the Nectar AI roleplay so great is that every conversation starts in a scenerio.
There's no need to think about what to say - you can just go with the flow.
Image Quality
The image quality of Nectar AI is extremely good. You can create jaw-dropping AI girlfriend pictures. It also allows you to take the NSFW route and generate AI porn and even videos.
On the flip side, even with the most expensive plan, you are only able to generate one image at a time which takes around 10 seconds. DreamGF AI allows you to generate 10 and Candy AI a whopping 16 AI girlfriend images at the same speed, making Nectar AI on the slow side of things.
Privacy
Although Nectar AI doesn't have end-to-end encryption and can theoretically monitor your chats, they clearly state that you can trust them not to do this. We are unsure what Nectar AI's response is when a user try to generate harmful content but according to their FAQ section they will not monitor the chat or images.
Nectar AI also offers billing discretion, ensuring you can pay for the AI platform knowing that it doesn't show "Nectar AI" or "AI girlfriend" on your bank statement.
Value For Money
Nectar AI offers an incredible bang for the buck. For just $9.99/month you are able to send 6.000 chat messages per month. Compare this to DreamGF AI which Bronze plan is similar priced but only allows you to send 1.500 messages. That's four times the difference!
This AI companion platform also has a very good free plan, allowing you to create 4 virtual companions and even one photo each day. Most AI girlfriend apps I've tested offer this as a premium feature and put this functionality behind a paywall.
Nectar AI Alternatives
Nectar AI is cool, but I can understand it is not for everyone. That’s why I wanted to give you some Nectar AI alternatives that I tested.
#1 Candy AI
On #1 we’ve got the famous Candy AI - the AI girlfriend app that has seen rapid growth recently.
The cool thing about Candy AI is that it’s extremely beginner-friendly. Even a noob like me can create jaw-dropping pictures in a heartbeat without any complicated prompting whatsoever.
At $12.99 a month, you can send as many messages as you want, making it a cheaper option than Nectar AI. But the downside is you only get a few tokens to create new AI girlfriends.
With Nectar AI, this is all part of the monthly deal, no extra tokens are needed.

In terms of popularity, I can not even compare Nectar AI to Muah AI. Muah AI’s popularity is through the roof.
One of the reasons is due to its free plan which lets you send plenty of messages and even create images.
Speaking of images, Muah AI has an epic image generator that allows you to create more than just pictures of your AI girlfriend.
There are people in the Discord Community showing the entire Manga they created with Muah AI!
Price-wise, Muah AI ranges from $12 to $100. The top-end price includes their most famous feature: AI FaceTime.
