But first, let me start by saying that Candy AI is NOT created to be an anime waifu generator - it’s just a side option.
Candy AI is actually an AI girlfriend app that lets you create your ‘ideal’ girlfriend/waifu and then interact with her.
But since we are specifically talking about waifus here, I won't bore you to death with all the nitty gritty and just get to the point.

Say what you want about AI image generators, but in my humble opinion, most of them are way too complicated.
Just take a look at Yadayo AI, they have multiple prompting fields with special codes you need to use. If that ain’t enough, there are also more than 20 settings and customization options.
Now don’t get me wrong, Yodayo AI is one of the best AI waifu generators on the planet in terms of accuracy.
BUTT if you are anything like me and don’t know a scoobidoo about prompting then getting a PhD. in rocket science might be easier than this.
Anyway, that’s why I am very happy that Candy AI keeps it mega simple. There are four settings we can tweak.

Let’s start with our character.
Creating a Character
We have two options here.
- Pick one of Candy AI’s anime waifu’s.
- Create or own waifu.
#2 Is the most fun option so let’s get right to it.
We are now in the waifu customizer and I must say it’s ridiculously easy. Instead of all those annoying prompting fields, it’s as easy as 1 2 3 with smooth menus so we only need to push the button.
In terms of looks we can customize our AI waifu her:
There are a bunch more options but they don’t affect the AI image generator. The other options are;
On the flip side, this slick customizer isn’t as advanced as a blanc field where you can just type in whatever you want your AI waifu to look like.
Not to mention some options are very limited. I mean, you can only pick from five different eye colors.
I want my AI waifu to be a cute schoolgirl with red eyes and multi-colored hair.

I am not a fan of the cartoonish anime style and rather have something more in the Shojo, Shonen, or even Moe direction.
So I really hope Candy AI would add an option that allows users to pick the AI art style they like the most.
Enter Prompt
Ok. We just created an AI anime waifu, now what?
If we go back to the anime image generator and click on select character, we can select the waifu we just created.
Badabim badaboom.
Now all that’s left is prompting some awesome anime images. Don’t worry, it’s easier than it sounds.

What I like to do is tweak those words until I have a prompt that I like.
It’s 10 times easier to edit an existing prompt than to stare at a blank field and try to come up with something.
But let’s say you are running out of creative juices and want some inspiration. Simply, scroll down and Voila, dozens of example words you can use to tweak your prompt.
But remember that these are just examples. You can go all bananas and the only limit is whatever that brain of yours can't come up with.
Picture Quality
Until this point I’ve been cackling about image customization but not really on how good the AI images actually are.
After all, if I can customize my AI waifu from top to bottom but the picture quality is trash - it’s a big fat pass and not a smash.
First, let’s try the standard prompt:
Wearing shorts and a crop top shirt, portrait picture, looking at the viewer.
She looks pretty good, doesn’t she?
But let’s generate some more audacious images and see if the quality is still good.
Swimming in a pool, bikini, view from behind
- Bikini? Check ✅

Although the quality of the pictures is A+, if I go too deep with my customization requests it often doesn’t work.
NSFW Images (AI Waifu Nudes)
Candy AI doesn’t have an NSFW Filter. So in other words - you can generate nudes of your AI waifu.
The anime nudes look realistic (for as far as anime can go). I generated more than 40 nudes and didn’t get any weird stuff like an extra arm or something.

I love Candy AI and truly believe this is the best NSFW waifu generator. It’s extremely easy to use and affordable.
Although it’s not as advanced as I hoped to be, it still packs one hell of a punch.

Soooo remember how I briefly mentioned Yodayo AI at the beginning of this article? Let’s talk a bit more about it.
Unlike Candy AI, it’s specifically designed for anime fans. Anime waifu fans to be precise.
If you hop over to Yodayo AI you’ll see three tabs.

The tavern is a waifu chatbot function, so I am going to skip that part for now.
The explore section is your golden ticket to the chocolate factory. Here you’ll find an awesome library with tens of thousands of anime characters created by other folks.
But that’s not why you are here. You want to create your OWN custom anime portraits, not just admire someone else his AI anime girlfriend.
Which brings me to the AI Art section.
Customization
The first time I tried Yodayo AI and I got hit with the screen in the picture above I felt overwhelmed.

What do I like to do?
Hit the dice and see whatever random prompt Yodayo AI comes up with.
Bam.
Now I can just edit my prompt from here.
Negative prompt
Then we got the negative prompt which allows you to exclude certain items or traits of your future anime waifu.
Let’s say you don’t want to generate any images where she’s wearing a hat or backpack. Just type in hat, backpack, and the NSFW anime generator will exclude those items.
Models
The model and spells are where the real magic happens. You can compare the models to the different types of anime art styles they use in Japan.
Just think about Pokemon, those anime characters look more 2D and cartoonish than Rengkoku from Demon Slayer.

Spells

Creating Your Own Anime Waifu
Let’s put Yodayo AI to work. I am going to try to replicate my favorite anime waifu named Rem from Re: Zero.
For the clueless among us, Rem is a blue-haired beauty with a cute smile and in a maid uniform.
The prompt I am using is:

The icing on top of the cake is Yodayo AI’s NSFW feature. It took me some time to find it since the NSFW filter is enabled by default.
