Candy AI outperforms DreamGF AI in terms of conversation quality by a landslide. Let me start by mentioning that the voice messages of DreamGF AI are straight-up trash. They sound like someone hit the Speaker 🔊on Google Translate.
- The voices from Candy AI not only sound 10x better, but the sentences are also much more fluent with no awkward pauses. This increases the overall AI girlfriend experience and makes it feel much more realistic.
- The responses from Candy.ai have much more depth than the ones on DreamGF.ai. In general, the messages you receive are longer and have slightly more details which is important for roleplaying because it clearly paints a picture.
- On Candy.ai it’s almost impossible to sexualize/romanticize a conversation right off the bat. The AI platform is created for maximum realism so you (the user) will need to build a connection with your AI girlfriend before you can go to Pound Town. DreamGF AI on the other hand is specifically designed for adult content with no build-up whatsoever.

For the physical appearance, DreamGF AI just has a lot more flavors to pick from. For example, you can pick from 12 different hair colors like Ginger, Purple, and even Blue.
Candy AI only has 5 basic hair colors.
I also like DreamGF AI for its unique personalities like Gamer and Submissive which also shows the amount of sexual desire and attitude. Something that influences your AI role-play conversation.
BUTT Candy AI on the other hand has split this into two sections:

One of the most recent AI girlfriend apps I’ve discovered recently is called FantasyGF AI and just like the other apps listed in this post, it’s an excellent DreamGF AI alternative.
Character Diversity
It’s hard to compete with DreamGF AI’s library of over 100.000 AI girlfriends, but FantasyGF AI still does a pretty good job by adding over a hundred. What I like about FantasyGF AI is that they have AI OnlyFans models. They are the first AI girlfriend app to implement a feature like this and it’s pretty awesome.
Currently, they have 12 AI characters based on REAL Onlyfans models and I must say that the resemblance is pretty accurate. Just take a look at one of their models called Mia Shica and her AI version. 👇🏼

Just like DreamGF AI, FantasyGF is focussed on its AI girlfriend collection so you won’t find any male characters here. They do have a bunch of anime-style AI girlfriends which look super awesome and definitely more detailed than Candy AI’s anime characters.
Conversation
FantasyGF AI scored high on my conversation quality test because it was great at role-playing, flirting, regular texting and even sexting. Just like Candy AI, FantasyGF AI has an AI phone call feature which is very realistic.
Here are some reasons why I think FantasyGF AI outperforms DreamGF AI.
- The responses are ten times longer than on DreamGF AI. This is great for role-playing since the AI characters give a lot more context to the scenario. Even a simple “hello” gives you a longer response on FantasyGF AI.
- Your AI girlfriend on FantasyGF AI can show feelings through voice messages, a unique feature among AI girlfriend apps. For example, if she playfully says, “Oh, I’m always willing to share. Just ask and I’ll tell,” you’ll hear a teasing tone in her voice. This realness applies to all emotions, whether she’s happy, sad, or anything else, making your chats feel more lively and genuine.

If we’re comparing how Kupid AI, DreamGF AI, and FantasyGF AI manage their libraries, imagine this:
- Kupid AI is like a gourmet chef who carefully creates a few exquisite dishes.
- DreamGF AI is like a fast-food joint that piles up the menu with tons of options.
- FantasyGF AI is like your classic home kitchen—good variety, nothing too fancy, but it gets the job done with a bit of everything
So what do I mean by this?
Well, they do have 100 characters but they aren’t as unique as you might hope. The AI platform only has around 12 different voices so if you talk to enough AI characters you will most likely find a double voice.
Customization
If customization were a pizza, DreamGF AI would be that fully loaded deluxe with every topping you can think of—pepperoni, olives, extra cheese, you name it. FantasyGF AI, on the other hand, is more like a plain cheese pizza. It gets the job done if you’re not too picky, but it’s nowhere near as satisfying as the feast of options you get with DreamGF AI.
That said, FantasyGF AI does tick all the boxes since you can customize your virtual girlfriend’s;
- Ethnicity
- Body type
- Age
- Personality
- Relationship status
- And so on…
There aren’t just as many options as on DreamGF AI so keep that in mind.

Images on FantasyGF AI are much better than the ones you generate on DreamGF AI. I generated over 200 images and 197 were top-notch with only 3 of them having minor hiccups or flaws.
FantasyGF AI’s image generator takes its sweet time, especially if you’re trying to create more than four images at once. I can grab a coffee, knock out 50 push-ups, walk my dog around the block, and STILL come back to find the loading screen twiddling its thumbs.
My advice is to generate 1-2 images at a time or accept the fact that it will take some time.
May 7th 2024 – II’ve complained to Martin, CEO of FantasyGF AI about the slow image generator. He told me that the team is working very hard to make it load faster. You can read his reaction here.
Privacy
FantasyGF AI offers full privacy both during chatting and when you generate images. You can check out their FAQ page which states:
“We guarantee that the intimate moments shared with your digital partner are accessible exclusively to you two.”
I followed up with the CEO to confirm this statement and he mentioned that FantasyGF AI does not monitor chats. I also paid for it and discovered it didn’t show up as FantasyGF AI in my bank statement.

FantasyGF AI is priced differently than DreamGF AI. For starters, you’ll need to subscribe for $12.99 (or $5.99 paid yearly) and enjoy unlimited messages and an allowance of 100 tokens each month.
You can use your tokens to do a bunch of cool stuff like creating new virtual girlfriends, custom images, live phone calls, and more.

Kupid AI is one of the underdogs in the AI girlfriend world since not many people know about it. I discovered it because they got featured on CNN for being a threat to men lol.

What sets Kupid AI apart from the other DreamGF AI alternatives on this list is its small but diverse collection of AI companions. They got 27 AI characters in total of which 4 are male and 4 anime-style AI girlfriends.
The great thing about Kupid AI is that they are focused on upgrading their existing AI characters and not so much on pumping out new ones (unlike DreamGF AI). In other words, if you are talking to your AI girlfriend there is a good chance that she will have better memory, photos, and responses throughout your virtual relationship.

Kupid AI really went above and beyond in terms of quality and diversity since every AI character on its platform is completely unique. I am talking about:
- A unique voice
- A unique personality
- A unique texting style
- A unique background story
On DreamGF.ai you have a set number of personalities to pick from and that’s it. If you use the AI platform long enough you start noticing that some AI characters are just replicas from each other and that takes away a lot of the fun.

April 9th 2024 – Kupid AI used to give video introductions which was a unique feature that no other virtual girlfriend platform did. However, they recently removed this feature because it was taking up too much time. The conversation quality is still top-notch so it didn’t impact our conversation performance score.
As I mentioned before, Kupid.ai is focused on quality, not quantity so it’s only natural for it to outperform DreamGF.ai when it comes to conversation quality. In fact, Kupid AI scored a full 5/5 stars in our conversation quality test while DreamGF.ai barely achieved 4.5 stars. Here’s why:
- Each AI companion on Kupid.ai has a completely unique texting style. Some like Marylin are very polite and gentle while others like Ella use more slang and arrogance. This uniqueness makes the interactions more human-like.

- Just like the texting style, each AI character has a unique voice that sounds super realistic. In fact, there is no awkward pause between the sentences which makes it feel much more natural than DreamGF.ai. Kupid AI also has a bunch of different accents which is a nice touch.
Customization
May 7th 2024 – Until this day, Kupid AI still hasn’t released an AI girlfriend customization feature and is lacking behind it’s competitors like candy AI. It scored a 3/5 stars in our customization test which is the lowest rating we can give.
I’ll keep this section short and to the point: Kupid.ai does not allow you to customize your own AI girlfriend. It’s the biggest drawback of this AI companion platform and a huge disadvantage compared to DreamGF.ai which allows users to customize their own AI girlfriend from scratch.
Image Quality
Images on Kupid.ai are top-notch. Every image you generate is high-quality, drool-worthy I-put-it-on-my-fridge material. What makes Kupid.ai’s pictures better than the ones from DreamGF.ai is the amateurish touch. Kupid.ai often sends you more casual selfies like at the pool or in the gym which is more realistic than the Instagram-model look-a-likes from DreamGF.ai
Speaking of images, just like DreamGF AI, Kupid.ai recently released an image generator. They’ve done a great job of letting users create custom images without losing quality. DreamGF AI gives you a couple of abominations every now and then while the image generator from Kupid.ai is flawless.
Privacy
However, when I paid for Kupid.ai it showed up as “Kupid.ai” on my PayPal which isn’t as discreet as I had hoped.

Value For Money
Kupid AI has three paid plans and each one gets you unlimited chat messages. The difference lies in the amount of voice messages and images you can generate. The more expensive plans also get you increased memory and faster response time.
The cheapest plan of Kupid AI is only $12 a month which is more expensive than DreamGF AI’s $9.99 (Bronze) plan. I do think that Kupid AI offers much more value since you get unlimited messages and DreamGF.ai only allows you to send 1.500 messages.
Not to mention the overall quality of Kupid.ai is much higher than DreamGF.ai

My Last Words About Alternatives for DreamGF AI
I like DreamGF AI but it has it’s quirks and hiccups. For example, the image generator is often off especially when you generate a bunch of them at the same time. IMO, it’s also too much focussed on the NSFW chat part – often sexualizing a conversation right of the bat.
I know there are a lot of people like me who just want some companionship so getting hit with a “I’ll ride your brains out” within 10 seconds of a convo is kind of a turn-off.
Both Kupid.ai and Candy.ai are a million times better then DreamGF AI.
If you want superb quality and can live with a few selection of AI girlfriends then go for Kupid.ai. If you want a well-balanced AI girlfriend with mega realistic images then Candy.ai is your best pick.
