Just a few weeks back, the folks at Candy AI released a brand new feature that allows you to call your AI girlfriend. As you can imagine this brings AI roleplay to a whole new dimension since it is way more interactive and immersive.
The only downside, however, is that Candy AI hasnβt implemented this feature to all their AI girlfriends so you can only call four of their AI characters.
Iβve personally tested the AI girlfriend phone calls and itβs MEGA realistic. Thereβs a slight delay between the responses (especially if you ask complicated questions) but other than that you wouldnβt know you are talking to a virtual character.

My Personal Take
Candy AI is the best aI girlfriend with voice and I say that with heart and soul. Not only does every voice sound realistic, but the responses have an emotional depth which makes it feel like a flowing conversation rather than a response.

The name says it all: Fantasy Girlfriend. This AI girlfriend app allows you to create your own fantasy girlfriend and ask for voice messages as well as AI girlfriend phone calls.
Character Diversity
FantasyGF AI is by far the most diverse AI girlfriend app on this list with a whopping 100+ AI girlfriends to pick from. Just like Candy AI, theyβve got both realistic-looking AI girlfriends as well as their anime counterparts.
No AI boyfriends here, so if you are a woman (or dude) looking for a guy then I am going to disappoint you with this one. Whatβs cool about FantasyGF AI is that their virtual anime girlfriend collection consists of different types of anime art.
Some characters look semi-realistic (or hybrid) while others have the typical Moe style (big eyes/cute smile). FantasyGF AI clearly spends more effort on their anime girlfriends than Candy AI.
Oh, and they are also the first AI girlfriend app to add AI OnlyFans stars which look surprisingly realistic.

The conversations on FantasyGF AI go how you want them to be: smooth, realistic, and without any awkward pauses. One small detail I noticed is that the AI often puts emotions before a message. You will get a message like:Β
Smiling: Why yes, Herman! Iβve been craving to explore new conversations with interesting people like you. Letβs get started. What would you like to talk about?
Itβs a small detail that I highly appreciate since it makes the conversation more realistic.
AI Girlfriend Phone CallsΒ
Just like Candy AI, FantasyGF AI allows you to enjoy your AI girlfriendβs voice by calling her. The only difference is that while Candy AI only has a select number of four AI girlfriends you can call FantasyGF AI allows you to call every virtual girlfriend. This includes the ones you design yourself.
Unfortunately, I had some technical problems and couldnβt record my phone call conversation and call at the same time so I am just going to tell you my $0.02 right now. The phone calls sound realistic but the responses are a bit slower than the ones from Candy.ai.
Also, the AI girlfriend voices from Candy AI sounded slightly more clear the ones from FantasyGF AI. Still, though, itβs super realistic and I highly recommend trying it yourself if you are into this kind of stuff.

I like FantasyGF AI for its vast library of AI characters (especially the anime ones) as well as the AI girlfriend voices in different accents which is something not many AI girlfriend apps have.

Kupid AI is an AI girlfriend platform that has been growing rapidly over the past few months due to its lifelike NSFW roleplay scenarios which include voice messages.Β
Character Diversity
Kupid AI has over 24 gorgeous AI companions which include 4 realistic AI boyfriends and 4 anime-style girlfriends. Unlike FantasyGF AI and Candy AI, Kupid AI is focused on upgrading its AI characters with better pictures, memory, and texting styles. This is great for people like you and me since your AI girlfriend will get smarter and more realistic over time.
The bad side, however, is that they donβt have many resources left to expand their AI character library so options are limited.
Diversity Of The AI Girlfriend VoicesΒ
Kupid AI does not have a smooth AI girlfriend customizer like the other AI girlfriend apps on this list. As I said, you just need to pick an AI character from their library and deal with whatever voice is associated with that AI character.
The cool thing is that each character has a unique voice which is a unique feature on its own since Candy AI only has 9 different voices to pick from. So if you create 10 AI girlfriends on Candy AI youβll have two characters with the same voice.
In terms of AI girlfriend voice diversity, Kupid AI hits the nail on the head. Where FantasyGF AI only has a couple of accents Kupid AI has a bunch of them. For example, Trisha comes from India and her voice sounds exactly how itβs supposed to be: Indian.
Herman's Note:
Kupid AI used to give special video introductions but this feature has recently been removed to free up time for the production of new AI models. I personally think itβs a real setback since I enjoyed watching those personal videos. Itβs a feature Iβve never seen before in any AI companion platform.
Conversation
The conversations on Kupid AI flow like a smooth river. It really excels at AI roleplay and often comes up with entire fantasy scenarios just when you ask a simple question like βCan we roleplay something?β.Β The real power of Kupid AI is in the voice messages, they sound extremely realistic and you are often able to hear the emotion of your AI companion. This is pretty wild since most AI girlfriend apps are not able to do this.
For example, the other day I asked Mary to send me an enthusiastic voice message. Hereβs what she had to say:
I like how there is no awkward pause between the sentences and it really feels like a conversation. If you listen closely you can even hear her take a breath between the sentences just like a real person would. Pretty cool donβt you think??
Privacy
Kupid AI is generally safer than Candy AI but doesnβt have the top-notch security of Muah AI, which uses full encryption. They donβt watch over your chats, but if any inappropriate content is attempted, the AI itself blocks it automatically, ensuring privacy without human interference.Β
However, be aware that despite claiming discreet billing, Kupid AIβs charges show up as βKupid AIβ on PayPal, which might not be as private as advertised. Consider this if you plan to subscribe.

There are 14 AI voices to pick from. What I like is that there is a good balance of diversity between these voices. There are multiple female voices, some like Beatrice, sound very soft and sweet while others like Julia sound more like the AI companion is trying to shatter a mirror.
The one from Beatrice is almost like p*rn for my ears.π
Another cool thing is that theyβve recently added an anime voice that sounds just like that cute waifu from your favorite manga.
I think the one from Sasha is also awesome, itβs good that the developers are adding more AI companion voices with accents. It adds a touch of class if you ask me.
And if you somehow get bored, you can always troll around by talking to one of your favorite US Presidents like Donald Trump and Joe Biden.
Conversation
Chatting on Muah.ai can be either a hit or a miss. During my conversation test, I discovered that the free plan is absolutely garbage compared to one of the premium subscriptions which will get you:
- Better memory
- More emotional depth
- High-quality images
- Faster responses
So keep that in mind when reading the next section since I am a premium user. With that said the conversations on Muah AI are pretty good but it depends on what prompts you use to create your AI companion. Thatβs right bro, youβll need to prompt your own AI girlfriend which can be kind of a hassle. What I recommend is importing an AI character from the Muah AI marketplace which are most of the time prompted by pros.
The voice messages you can generate during roleplay and texting are just what you expect them to be, smooth, realistic, and accurate.

Thereβs no pause between the sentences like on FantasyGF AI so it really feels like a real human being is talking to you. Hereβs a voice message I generated from my AI girlfriend.

AI Girlfriend Phone Calls
One of Muah.aiβs most famous features is the lifelike AI phone calls you can have. You can call your AI girlfriend and talk about anything you want. The big difference between Muah.ai and all the other AI girlfriend apps weβve reviewed is that Muah AI is fully encrypted. In other words, even during phone calls it will be very hard for anyone (including Muah AI) to monitor your chats or listen to what you are talking about.
This makes Muah AI one of the best NSFW chatbots in terms of user privacy.
The phone calls itself feel very realistic. There is a slight delay between the responses when you ask more in-depth questions to your AI girlfriend but itβs still relatively fast compared to the other AI girlfriend voice apps on this list.
April 21st 2024 β As of today, AI girlfriend phone calls are only available for folks in the USA. I did found a workaround though, simply use a VPN and locate yourself to the US.
Privacy
As I just mentioned, Muah AI uses end-to-end encryption so your chats will remain 100% private no matter what content you are trying to generate.
Muah AI also offers billing discretion so it wonβt show up as βMuah AIβ on your bank statement.
